The Literary Magazine Production Lab class that I teach at the University of Minnesota, which produces The Tower magazine, received a Gold Crown award for our 2020 edition. We put a lot of hard work into it! Very proud of my students!

Many thanks to Split Rock Review and editor Crystal Gibbons for nominating my poem “Driving to Visit a Friend with Cancer, I Witness a Car Crash” for a Best of the Net Award! This poem means a lot to me personally as it is in memory of my dear friend Robert Byrd, who meant so very much to so very many people, including artists and filmmakers all over the country through his work as a producer, grants officer, and filmmaker himself.
